Over 2024/2025 I was employed by Horizon's Regional Council, in collaboration with Auckland Council to create a set of free climate change teaching resources for years 7-9, using the utilising research from futurefit.nz.
The content is designed for a two or three week unit, and comes with Core learning tasks, homework/revision worksheets, cross-curricular activities, games and relief lessons. Slideshows come in both Microsoft PowerPoint and Google Slides formats.
Made by teachers, for teachers. Road-tested in New Zealand classrooms, for quality. - I really tried to cut back teacher planning time. Just print the worksheets, then open the slideshows during class, and go. There is also a unit plan if you'd like reading instructions.
Intended to be used first, for essential learning or knowledge. Covering key areas of climate change:
